Company Security Officer (CSO)
MCA, Liberia and Marshall Islands accredited
This 3.5 day course is specifically directed at those managers, and their deputies, who have been designated as responsible for implementing company security policy. It is applicable to both the passenger and cargo fleet, and provides an overview of their role and responsibilities.
IMO Model course
This 2.5 day course syllabus follows the IMO Model CSO course. The aim of this course is to provide the necessary training for senior management personnel that are appointed as Company Security Officers and responsible for their Corporate Security Policy.

Cruise Vessel Security and Safety Act - Crime Scene Management (CVSSA)
United States Maritime Administration (MARAD) accredited
This This 2 day course is intended to provide the knowledge required for personnel who are assigned passenger vessel security responsibilities to perform their duties as mandated in the Cruise Vessel Security and Safety Act of 2010 (CVSSA) ), Pub. L. No. 111-207 (July 27, 2010) (codified at 46 U.S.C. Sections 3507, 3508).

Ship Security Officer (SSO)
MCA, Liberia and Marshall Islands accredited
A 3 day course to inform SSOs of both passenger and cargo vessels of their role and responsibilities under the new legislation.
IMO Model course
This 2 day course follows the IMO Model SSO course.The aim of this course is to provide the necessary training and skills for those maritime officers appointed as designated Ship Security Officers.

Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO)
UK Department for Transport accredited
A 3 day course to provide the necessary background knowledge, security training and ship to shore interface procedures for those officers appointed as Port Facility Security Officers.
IMO Model course
This 2.5 day course follows the IMO Model PFSO course. The aim is to provide the necessary training for those persons appointed as Port Facility Security Officers.

Maritime Security Officers Course
A 3.5 day course, accredited by the Nautical Institute, for personnel wishing to become Security Officers aboard cruiseships and passenger ferries. The personnel attending these courses are expected to have completed statutory courses in personal survival techniques, elementary first aid and firefighting as well as being able to demonstrate fluency in English, training skills and IT literacy.
The course itself involves various different forms of delivery including lectures, videos and role-playing.
The topics covered are

 Cruiseship/passenger ferry environment
 Threats to maritime security
 The roles and responsibilities of security staff
 Ship Security Plan (SSP)

 Bomb/Drug Search Plan
 Access control
 Crisis management and human behaviour
 UK MCA SSO included
Successful completion of the course requires not only meeting the written examination requirements but also a demonstration of some of the qualities expected of Security Officers, such as discipline, patience, tact and a positive attitude.

After successfully completing the course exam, each delegate will be issued a UK MCA certificate.

Specialised Courses

Recognised Security Organisation (RSO)
The aim of this course is to provide the necessary training for organisations that wish to apply to be appointed by a Contracting Government or Designated Authority as a Recognised Security Organisation. Course length: 4½ days.
Course length: 4½ days

Train-the-Trainer
The aim of this course is to train key company personnel for the recommended training requirements of Ship Security Officers (SSOs) and crew in accordance with the latest relevant maritime regulations and statute. Course length: 5 days

Management of Disruptive Passengers
The purpose of the course is to equip personnel who may be required to deal with disruptive passengers to manage any such incident safely, with due regard to customer care and relevant legislation and with the minimum of disturbance to other passengers. Course length: 4 days
